Do you know what POLYPHONIC SINGING is? in my long career nothing has awed me more, check this out

So many years dedicated to be a Boca Raton Vocal Coach and I have never seen a demonstration like this one. I had heard of Polyphonic Singing but since I had never seen it I though it was another Vocal Coaching myth.
This ability is almost not human, and the expertise Anna Maria showcases here is uncanny. As a Boca raton Vocal Coach I have to say that even though I understand the theory behind it, I really find it hard to put it into practice, let alone training on it.
Until I master it I left you with tho demonstration of Anna Maria Hefele who is just magic.
Remember, if you need a Boca Raton Vocal Coach do not hesitate in contacting me.
Enjoy!

This is what happens when awesome vocals meet EDM

Hi everybody. As a Delray Beach Vocal Coach i get pumped when I find that true music is not lost, never the less it is dead.

I found this video of an awesome Vocal Performance by an acapella group called Pentatonix. They render awesome fresh vocal renditions of pop music, with a twist.
Of course there are plenty of effects and filters in this recording, but, this versions couldn't be done without the expertise this guys have and the uncanny talent they display.

There's plenty of talented people out there making their Boca Raton Singing Lessons worth the shot, learning and using the talent they have to truly entertain.

I am West Palm Beach Music Teacher who enjoys this kind of efforts a lot, all singers, regardless their genera should aspire to be killer acapella performers, just saying.
Have an awesome day!

Bee Gees - Masters of Harmonies

Not too many artists have been exclusively known by their harmonies like Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb A.K.A. The Bee Gees.
Even though they were founded in 1958 their success came only a decade later and it had two distinct periods: as a pop act in the late 1960s/early 1970s, and as prominent performers of the disco music era in the late 1970s. The group sang three-part tight harmonies that were instantly recognizable; Robin's clear vibrato lead was a hallmark of their earlier hits, while Barry's R&B falsetto became their signature sound during the late 1970s and 1980s. The brothers wrote all of their own hits, as well as writing and producing several major hits for other artists.
Here they are demonstrating how harmonies are done by the best in a beautiful a capella medley of their biggest hits. Enjoy!

How to know when you are ready to audition for The Voice

Aspiring artists' dreams are going wild with the huge success of talent shows like NBC's The Voice. Every body who's ever got a compliment on their Vocal Abilities is now dreaming on making it big by being the next TV Talent Show winner. That is good, dreaming is the mother of all success, but you should dream with one foot in the floor.
How do you know if you are ready to audition? besides confidence what else should you have in your check list? well, here's a comprehensive summary of the most important vocal performance aspects that you need to have down when you are thinking on auditioning for a talent show such as NBC's The Voice.

  • Do you master your breathing and vocal technique?
  • Do you feel in advance what type of voice you are going to use to attack a low or high note?
  • Does your range overlaps comfortably among chest, head, mix and falsetto ranges?
  • Do you clearly feel and understand your head and mix voices?
  • Do you master microphone techniques and know how to get the best of it?
  • How about your self monitoring system?
  • Are you impeccable in your tempo?
  • Do you feel confidence you can sing ANYTHING?
  • Do you experiment beyond the recorded version of the songs you like?
  • Do you feel the music you are singing?

If is there anything you are missing from this list you should talk to your Boca Raton Vocal Coach and work on the specific items you are missing, if your dream is to make it big on a talent show you should make sure your effort and illusions don't get washed away because of false self confidence. Self confidence is good but only if is backed up by talent and perfect technique.

Breathing for Singing 101, get it right from your first attempt

As you all know, breathing for singing is different that your usual surviving method for breathing. To develop a proper technique you must detach from all previous concepts you may have about breathing, like taking a lot of air (which usually ends up not being that much and for sure will be stored in the wrong places).
In this opportunity I want to share a very basic, yet crucial exercise of vocal technique to get Breathing for Singing RIGHT, from your first attempt. Watch this video and follow the instructions, breathing properly will allow you to sing with great ease and control. I hope you find it useful. Comments are always welcome!

Do you like Shakira & Usher for the 4th season of NBC's The Voice?

So for the next season of NBC's The Voice, vocal prodigy Christina Aguilera will be replaced by Shakira. The original line-up will be changed for their 4th season so Christina and Cee-lo can go out and boost their careers. The reactions are mixed, the media agrees that even though Shakira "isn't quite the vocalist" that Aguilera is, she adds the "international appeal" that The Voice has been lacking. And Usher is "bigger in terms of chart success" than Cee Lo Green. Plus, the presence of Levine and Shelton will give fans reassuring continuity.
If I was a contestant I don't know why I would choose Shakira to be my mentor. She i a tiny dot in the huge blanket of stars they could have got to replace Christina or Ceelo. On top of that, and I say this even though I am Colombian, her vocal abilities are not at all impressive and if Blake confessed "I've never heard that song (Heart shaped box - Nirvana), I feel stupid", what can we expect from Shakira? she barely lives here! I love the show and I hope for the best, and I truly, truly hope I have to eat this words I'm writing in this blog at the end of season 4 of The Voice.
