There's
a challenge people who are interested on auditioning for singing contests
always have to face, their song choice. The song an auditioned should present
must contain the environment to showcase the best abilities of the singer. When
choosing a song to audition singers must wear the shoes of the people who will
be listening to them, what do they like? what is the nature of the
show/band/event you are auditioning for? How can you put in use your singinglessons to perform your best in your audition?

My
advise as a Boca Raton Vocal Coach is, listen to the top 40 songs, a new song
is always well received because is fresh in people's mind, pick 4 or 5 and
discuss them with your vocal coach, he or she will tell you if the songs you
picked really showcase your range, control and tone, once you get that advise
go for the working time and practice that song like there was not another one
in the world.
Also,
make sure you don't imitate, make sure you own your version of the song, create
a version that fits YOU and have fun with it.
